Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Quality Control Supervisor, this position plays a crucial role in the success of the laboratory by performing various tasks to support the chemistry lab, ensuring that high standards of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the QC Laboratory to meet cGMP standards, including:
- Cleaning surfaces such as walls, doors, windows, ceilings, and fixtures, utilizing appropriate equipment and materials.
- Ensuring visible signage and approved cleaning protocols are in place as necessary.
- Overseeing sample management processes.
- Reporting any damages or required repairs to the QC Management team.
- Managing the cleaning and replenishment of laboratory glassware supplies across the QC laboratories.
- Generating purchase orders to sustain consumable inventory levels.
- Maintaining adequate stock of reagents.
- Ensuring daily disposal of waste and rubbish in accordance with the site's recycling initiatives.
- Receiving and logging samples from production into laboratory trackers, ensuring proper documentation is printed and filed.
- Organizing analytical documentation for raw materials, components, and stability in an orderly manner, with periodic archiving as needed.
- Safely storing retention samples and maintaining accurate retention sample logs.
- Conducting periodic reviews of stored materials and disposing of those that have surpassed their retention life.
- Ensuring that stocks of cleaning materials, consumables, glassware, and purchased reagents are sufficient to meet the QC Laboratories' requirements.
- Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures in all activities.
- Complying with Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, GLP, and GMP at all times.
- Ensuring adherence to GMP, GLP, SOPs, COSHH, and relevant best practices, while keeping updated on processes to support the efficient operation of the QC Laboratories.
- Assisting Quality Control and Microbiology Laboratory staff with additional duties as necessary.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess foundational knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH. Strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively are essential for success in this role.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Experience with IT systems for ordering and requesting consumables.
- Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Capability to execute procedures according to SOPs and Work Instructions within specified timeframes.
