Director of Financial Strategy

Location: London

Compensation: £125,000 + benefits

Partner Group is collaborating with a private equity-backed technology firm that has shown remarkable growth since its establishment. We are seeking a Director of Financial Strategy to lead the financial operations and support the executive team.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this position will assume complete responsibility for the finance department and play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring sound financial health, and delivering critical insights that propel business success. The Director of Financial Strategy is a vital appointment and will frequently engage with the Board and investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the management team to formulate and execute business strategies
  • Lead and coordinate executive initiatives
  • Deliver financial insights to facilitate informed decision-making, driving profitable results and growth while optimizing investment utilization
  • Oversee all financial forecasts, budgets, and scenario analyses, aligning them with the CEO and budget stakeholders
  • Monitor, manage, and report on cash flow and treasury activities
  • Establish key performance indicators and SaaS metrics for the organization, ensuring their measurement and effectiveness
  • Manage supplier negotiations and oversee contract management
  • Promote a culture of cost management and budget accountability
  • Assist revenue teams with deal structures and contractual agreements
  • Ensure appropriate systems and contracts are in place and scalable through IT oversight
  • Support opportunistic mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration efforts
  • Enhance shareholder value
  • Lead and develop the finance team by mentoring and fostering their professional growth

The Ideal Candidate will possess:

  • A finance qualification (ACA or equivalent) with exceptional leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Strong commercial insight and the ability to influence business strategy and operations while maintaining a customer-centric approach
  • Previous experience in the digital, technology, or software sectors, with a solid understanding of key SaaS metrics
  • The adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, where a mindset of continuous improvement is essential
