Job Title: Residential Childcare Team Leader

Location: Bridgwater

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent

Salary: Up to 30,273.36 with sleep in shifts (unqualified), up to 31,952.96 with sleep in shifts (qualified)

Hours: 38 hours per week

Job Purpose: To ensure the needs of young people in our care are met and to provide a positive and safe living experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on shift to ensure the Home runs efficiently and effectively to a high standard.
  • Manage and lead Residential Support Workers to provide high-quality childcare.
  • Comply with the Company's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
  • Support effective multi-agency working and positive relationships with staff, the local community, and other agencies.
  • Comply with company guidelines on Codes of Conduct and set an acceptable role model standard.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of young people's Plans.
  • Support and complement the reviewing and monitoring process in Care Planning.
  • Promote anti-discriminatory and equal opportunity practices.
  • Comply with legislation and company policies on Health & Safety, Fire, and Data Protection.
  • Attend required training and support QCF learners.

Essential Skills:

  • Good overall standard of education.
  • Working towards or hold Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Child Care legislation, children's home regulations, and quality standards.
  • Previous experience of working directly with young people with challenging behavior.
  • Good report writing and numeracy skills, well-organized with good administration skills, and IT literate.
  • Able to relate to young people with empathy and committed to a high standard of childcare.
  • Strong motivational, management, and leadership potential.
