Position Overview:
A diligent, detail-oriented, and organized professional is sought to support the Decommissioning Team in a Compliance Support capacity.

This role involves assisting the decommissioning team in staying informed about updates to laws, regulations, or corporate policies related to the decommissioning of offshore assets. It is essential to ensure that all regulatory and internal compliance obligations are identified, comprehended, and fulfilled by the team.

This position presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual eager to devise effective strategies to address regulatory challenges while upholding our fundamental Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) principles.

A technical background is advantageous but not mandatory; candidates with legal, compliance, or research experience will also be well-suited for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the decommissioning team's Permits, Licenses, Approvals, Notifications, and Consents (PLANC) system:
    • Ensure all new and modified regulatory requirements are accurately recorded in the PLANC.
    • Maintain the schedule for PLANC submissions in alignment with the overall decommissioning project timeline.
    • Keep records current and relevant supporting documentation uploaded to the PLANC.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of installation and pipeline decommissioning programs, close-out reports, operatorship transition documents, and other necessary documentation for decommissioning projects.
  • Draft general sections and coordinate with the technical team for outstanding contributions.
  • Prepare and compile presentations and quarterly update reports for regulators such as OPRED and NSTA (compliance section).
  • Act as a point of contact for regulatory bodies in the absence of the Decommissioning Compliance Lead.
  • Maintain a register of daily commitments that the decommissioning team must adhere to, providing timely reminders.
  • Prepare and manage subcontractor scopes of work for compliance and assurance activities.
  • Support risk assessment reviews, including HAZID and ENVID, focusing on compliance aspects.
  • Collaborate with the QSHE/decommissioning team to coordinate investigations and remedial actions.
  • Assist in the preparation for and execution of compliance reviews/audits, ensuring that corrective actions and recommendations are effectively followed up.

Qualifications:

  • A technical degree is beneficial; however, candidates with a legal, business, compliance, or research background are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in written English is essential.
  • A meticulous eye for detail and exceptional presentation skills are required.
  • Familiarity with essential software, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience as a collaborative team player, with a willingness to work under tight deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capability to engage with key stakeholders in a professional manner.
