ROLE OVERVIEW

The purpose of this role is to ensure the security performance of Liberty Global's strategic partners. The individual will lead the 'Strategic Partner Oversight Function' and collaborate closely with the Director of Cyber Security Oversight & Assurance.

This position is responsible for comprehensive security oversight and governance concerning Liberty Global's strategic partners. The director will serve as the primary contact for all security governance activities involving significant third parties. Responsibilities include planning, drafting, maintaining, and delivering a 'Strategic Partner Security Oversight and Governance Framework', as well as managing associated standards, team profiles, plans, templates, meetings, and documentation.

The director will provide ongoing assurance regarding the security governance, management, results, controls, processes, and operating procedures of strategic partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Liberty Global's strategic partners, including their roles, responsibilities, and operational models.
  • Own and deliver a comprehensive 'Strategic Partner Security Oversight and Governance Framework'.
  • Define and implement a Strategic Partner Security Oversight and Governance Plan.
  • Manage relevant documentation and tools related to strategic partners.
  • Conduct assessments of administrative, logical, and physical security controls across strategic partners, including in-depth technical evaluations.
  • Produce clear reports aligned with the Strategic Partner Security Oversight and Governance Plan.
  • Ensure strategic partner compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Understand the scope and coverage of external certifications held by strategic partners.
  • Clearly articulate any non-compliance issues and present actionable corrective measures.
  • Supervise the completion of all corrective actions.
  • Identify trends in compliance, schedule adherence, control efficiency, and corrective actions.
  • Generate metrics, reports, and KPIs for the team.
  • Act impartially and fairly in all dealings.
  • Manage workload effectively and seek additional support when necessary.
  • Identify and escalate governance issues beyond the scope of security governance.
  • Continuously enhance the Strategic Partner Security approach.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by security leadership.
KEY INTERFACES
  • Serve as the primary contact for major international strategic partners.
  • Facilitate reporting between Strategic Partner Governance Streams.
  • Collaborate with the Oversight and Assurance (O&A) Director and CSO to report on the status of strategic partners.
  • Work closely with the CSO Business Manager to deliver KPIs and metrics.
  • Engage with Liberty Global security teams to understand their interactions with partners.
  • Liaise with external bodies and assessors.
  • Collaborate with other internal partners.
  • Support audit efforts alongside other O&A assurance specialists as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Proven experience in Assurance or Auditing within a global organization is essential, along with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with major external parties.

Essential Skills:
  • Experience in a large, complex, global matrix organization.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Technical auditing expertise.
  • Demonstrable experience in an information security role within a large commercial organization.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with ISO 27001 Lead Auditing or CISA Auditing.
  • Knowledge or experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • International work experience.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

A degree or professional qualification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, Auditor/Implementer for ISO 27001 or equivalent) is preferred.
