Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Neuromodulation Nurse Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our Neuromodulation Service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex pain management needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and coordination of a high-quality Neuromodulation Service across the Trust, utilizing your expertise in pain management and neuromodulation.
  • Collaborate with Neuromodulation Consultants, Specialist Clinical Psychologists, and Research Coordinators to ensure seamless patient care and efficient service delivery.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance projects, audits, and data collection and analysis to drive service improvement and excellence.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to interdisciplinary teams, promoting effective communication, conflict resolution, and team management.
  • Contribute to the development of standards, policies, and pathways for clinical improvement, maintaining an overview of governance and identifying trends for service enhancement.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in working in neuromodulation at Band 7 level.
  • Experience in working within a chronic pain service.
  • Experience of nurse-led and reprogramming clinics.
  • Experience of quality assurance projects, audits, and data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge and evidence of change management.
  • Evidence of service planning and development.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Established leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective multi-disciplinary team working and management of interdisciplinary groups and meetings.
  • Conflict management and resolution.
  • Relevant MSc in pain management (or in process).
  • Specialist training to Master's level or equivalent experience.
