Job Title: Property Acquisitions Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Acquisitions Manager to join our team at Henderson Group. As a key member of our acquisitions team, you will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and project managing the delivery of quality freehold or leasehold convenience store/supermarket locations in line with our company's specifications and growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and prepare an overall business case for potential acquisitions, including conducting due diligence and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Identify and acquire quality freehold or leasehold locations/sites for the company, managing projects through to contract completion.
  • Work closely with internal departments, including property, finance, and sales, as well as external advisors such as solicitors, estate agents, and property developers.
  • Use your superb networking skills to identify potential retailers for our franchisee channel and work with existing retailers on key redevelopment/extension projects.
Requirements:
  • Good standard of education, with a minimum of 4 GCSEs including Mathematics & English or equivalent.
  • Successful track record of concluding commercial deals and agreements, with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience from within a commercial setting.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Driving licence and ability to travel around Northern Ireland.

  • Highly developed negotiation and influencing skills, with a strong ability to engage and communicate effectively.
  • Articulate and influential, with the ability to present prospects, discuss commercial viability, and make recommendations at a senior level.
  • Strong completer-finisher skills, with a drive to persevere and ensure a successful conclusion of commercial agreements.
  • Eye for detail, with a logical, organised, and methodical approach.
