We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Social Care Trainer to join our team at Dovetail and Slate Ltd. As a dynamic and supportive learning environment, we pride ourselves on fostering a vibrant and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of apprentices to achieve their Level 5 Leader in Adult Care Apprenticeship.
- Train and assess level 5 in Health and Social Care, as well as provide support with lower levels such as 2&3 and Functional Skills.
- Arrange on-site visits with learners to carry out observations and ensure they are on track.
- Ensure all required records are completed to meet ESFA and Ofsted requirements.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Hold either a Level 5 in Management in Health and Social Care, or the old Level 4 Diploma (which is the equivalent).
- Assessor Qualification, e.g., D32/D33, A1, or CAVA.
- PTLLS/AET or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience as a registered manager for a minimum of two years.
- Experience in support apprenticeships or previous roles as an assessor.
Benefits:
- £10,000 bonus each year (paid quarterly).
- Monday-Friday work only, no weekends.
- Generous annual leave, 27 days, plus bank holidays and birthday.
- Enhanced sick pay.
- Freedom to manage own diary and plan out own travel days.

This role may involve work with under 18's or vulnerable adults. Any appointment will be made subject to strict vetting and screening checks and receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
