About the Role

Radar Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Manager to join a fast-growing business. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a pivotal role in helping the business understand its financial performance and drive strategic planning and decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial finance, with experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning. You will be responsible for analysing financial data, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and providing actionable recommendations to optimise profitability and support business growth.

Main Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting
    • Lead the preparation of detailed financial analysis, providing insights into business performance, profitability, and cost efficiency.
    • Develop and present regular reports, including variance analysis, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Strategic Financial Planning
    • Engage and collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
    • Provide financial analysis, expertise, and guidance to support strategic decision-making.
    • Support the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning, ensuring realistic and achievable targets.
  • Operational Support and Business Partnering
    • Work closely with commercial teams to provide monthly sales and pmv reports, identifying opportunities and areas for improvement.
    • Attend monthly business review meetings, providing challenge and support to drive business growth plans.
  • Forecasting and Scenario Planning
    • Lead the development of accurate financial forecasts, including revenue, expenses, and cash flow projections.
    • Perform scenario analysis to evaluate the financial impact of different business strategies and market conditions.
  • Cost Control and Profitability Optimisation
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements across the business to optimise profitability.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify and assess financial risks within the business, proposing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Continuous Improvement and Systems Development
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function, enhancing processes and systems for better accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified.
  • 5-10 years' experience in a commercial finance/FP&A role within a product-based, distribution, or supply chain environment.
  • A strong team player approach is essential to succeeding within the business, along with excellent analytical skills, commercial judgement, and relationship management.
