Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Hospital Director to lead our clinical operations and provide strategic direction to our nursing teams. The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management and a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the identification and formulation of evidence-based nursing practices
  • Establish and develop systems for the evaluation and dissemination of research and evidence in nursing practice
  • Develop opportunities for individuals and teams to network and share excellence in practice
  • Establish systems that assure accurate defensible patient-focused nursing documentation and act as lead for implementation
  • Support the clinical teams in the implementation of quality markers and quality standards
  • Develop reports that will feed into the process of the production and publication of quality accounts
  • Prepare and contribute to the annual quality account which will detail the quality of the nursing services provided
  • Ensure nursing services adhere to national legislation such as the Health and Social Care Act and the Health and Safety at Work Act and take action where standards are not in place
  • Set nurse clinic-specific standards and lead teams in the auditing of said standards
Management

Provide visible and accessible site-by-site nursing leadership, creating a climate where individuals understand their roles and responsibilities and people are empowered to be effective in their role.

Establish and maintain a clinical nursing management presence to clinical sites

Provide inspirational, dynamic professional management, leadership, supervision, and an overseeing role to nursing teams, including workforce redesign, recruitment, training, and development, performance, grievance, and disciplinary cases

Provide expert professional nursing advice, support, challenge, scrutiny, and decision-making as required or where necessary to nurses, clinic managers, and all relevant staff groups

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
