About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at the Animal Trust clinic in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, including routine and complex surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied caseload, engaging in both routine and complex surgical procedures.
  • Utilise the clinic's advanced facilities, including two sterile operating theatres, a dental theatre, ultrasound, and X-ray rooms.
  • Collaborate closely with a dedicated team, including our exceptional reception and nursing staff, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Champion nurse-led care, allowing you to focus on complex cases and surgeries.
Requirements
  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon, registered with the RCVS.
  • Strong interest and competency in managing diverse cases, including emergency and critical care.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to empathize with pet owners and effectively work within a team.
  • A passion for community veterinary care and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Desirable: Experience in orthopaedic surgery and other advanced medical procedures.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of £38,000 to £67,000, depending on experience.
  • Flexible working patterns, including a 4-day work week plus one weekend per month.
