ABOUT THE ROLE:
  • This position is hands-on; the Finance Manager must possess a comprehensive understanding of GL accounting, audit compliance, and supervisory responsibilities.
  • Oversee governance and control of all UK/EMEA Regional Costs to guarantee precise reporting to Group and Functions. This role leads a team of Accountants and is accountable for establishing consistent processes based on best practices. Strong relationships with key stakeholders are essential for accurate actuals reporting.
  • Transactional accounting entails ensuring the accuracy and completeness of GL postings within SAP. Preparing the month-end reporting pack in OneStream is a critical aspect of this role, requiring an understanding of postings to ensure they are complete, accurate, and timely. The Finance Manager will guide their team (currently consisting of 9 Accountants) to provide accounting analysis to stakeholders and collaborate with functions and markets to ensure month-end actuals reflect accurate accruals, prepayments, and journal postings.
  • Ensure audit and compliance oversight for Group and statutory reporting obligations across 15 operating entities. All audits must be completed within six months post year-end, and the Finance Manager is responsible for any reporting requirements from Group Finance.
  • This role is crucial in supporting the audit process for each market and fulfilling any additional requirements from Group Finance.
  • Involvement in projects within the Finance Group to develop, implement, and promote best-in-class and efficient processes and performance is expected. The role will also require collaboration across the global finance team and other organizational functions.
  • The Finance Manager will have direct line management responsibility for the accounting team based in the UK, which includes leadership, coaching, and motivating the team while fostering career development opportunities for all team members.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA preferred), with experience in both audit and corporate accounting.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and enthusiasm for driving change and process enhancements.
  • A forward-thinking attitude that seeks opportunities, challenges the status quo, and strives for high performance.
  • Personable, enthusiastic, team-oriented, and capable of leading by example.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships in a matrix structure.
  • Experience with SAP FICO system.
  • Proficient in Excel.
