About the Role

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Draeger breathing apparatus products and accessories.
  • Conduct thorough testing and inspection of various reducer and valve assemblies.
  • Repair and test all products within the Draeger Escape range of equipment.
  • Recharge cylinders and perform quality control checks.
  • Repair and test all Draeger Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment.
  • Install and commission telemetry systems.
  • Utilize automated test equipment for fault finding and final acceptance testing.
  • Document all technical repairs and test results.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve complex technical issues.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support Field Service Engineers as needed.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.

Shared Responsibilities

  • Comply with Draeger's Integrated Management System (IMS) and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Embed Draeger's WeLEAD competencies in daily work.

Manager

  • Engineering Supervisor

  • Work in a collaborative team environment with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Education/Qualifications

  • Minimum of three GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language & Mathematics.

Related Experience

  • Experience in service and repair of mechanical devices is highly desirable.
  • Basic electronics knowledge is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
