Position: Senior Technical Product Manager

Expedia is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to join the Expedia Private Labels Solution (PLS) data team, responsible for providing comprehensive technical specifications to develop high-quality products and services.

PLS operates as the B2B sector within the largest travel organization globally. We create technology that assists millions of travelers in discovering the perfect experience at the ideal moment for their next memorable journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Product Owner for designated product areas.
  • Collect and assess requirements from business stakeholders, analytics teams, and fellow product managers, while collaborating closely with development teams to translate these into technical specifications.
  • Ensure that business needs are met while considering critical factors such as scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
  • Establish success metrics prior to and following product launches, applying insights to future initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, product teams, and UX designers to comprehend requirements, research, and document potential solutions.
  • Contribute positively to team culture, fostering enjoyment and adaptability.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in technical product management or program management.
  • A passion for solving complex challenges through collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Ability to deconstruct intricate business problems into straightforward and effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with agile development practices.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Experience in defining and managing scalable, resilient, and secure systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL, big data, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Adept at working across teams to facilitate the implementation of new features and address operational challenges.
