Job Title: Private Client Solicitor/Head of Department

A reputable law firm in Kent is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their team on a full-time basis with expertise in Wills, Probate, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Independently manage a varied caseload of private client matters.
  2. Provide high-quality, timely, professional advice on Wills, Probate, and Estate administration, Inheritance Planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection Work, Trusts, and some Contentious Probate Work.
  3. Promote a compassionate and sensitive client experience when dealing with the elderly or incapacitated.
  4. Proactively network and market within the team to generate new business and reputation.
  5. Attend clients in their own environment as required.
  6. Mentor and assist more junior team members.
  7. Maintain good billing records within the team.
Requirements:

The successful Senior Private Client Solicitor will have a minimum of 4+ years PQE with proven experience and knowledge in the preparation of Wills, Probate, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection, and related matters. The Head of Department will have a minimum of 8+ years.

Self-motivated, self-confident, and able to work with minimum supervision. Able to manage a full caseload in a busy office under supervision.

What We Offer:
  1. Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
  2. Salary dependent on experience for the Senior Private Client Solicitor role: £60,000 - £80,000+.
  3. The Head of Department Salary is competitive dependent on experience.
  4. Pension Scheme.
  5. Good holiday entitlement.
  6. A mixture of remote and office working considered after probation.
