Private Client Solicitor/Head of Department

A reputable law firm in Kent is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Wills, Probate, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a varied caseload of private client matters independently.
  • Provide high-quality, timely advice on Wills, Probate, and Estate administration, Inheritance Planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection Work, Trusts, and Contentious Probate Work.
  • Promote a compassionate and sensitive client experience when dealing with the elderly or incapacitated.
  • Network and market within the team to generate new business and reputation.
  • Attend clients in their own environment as required.
  • Mentor and assist more junior team members.
  • Maintain good billing records within the team.
Requirements:

The successful Senior Private Client Solicitor will have a minimum of 4+ years PQE with proven experience and knowledge in the preparation of Wills, Probate, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection, and related matters. The Head of Department will have a minimum of 8+ years.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, self-confident, and able to work with minimum supervision. They will be able to manage a full caseload in a busy office under supervision.

What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary dependent on experience for the Senior Private Client Solicitor role: £60,000 - £80,000+.
