Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our team at Dalkia UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the contract management of staff, operations, and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and building fabric reactive and PPM services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality, Safety, and Health (QSHE): Design a safe system of work for the contract in accordance with client and company policies, with advice from QSHE and technical teams, to manage risk and eliminate risk-taking behavior.
  • Compliance: Implement a robust regime that provides an assured level of compliance to our client, with any exceptions actively managed and risks mitigated.
  • Planning: Ensure that all staff within your control are conversant with the operation and control of business policies and processes.
  • Operational Management: Ensure that all operational KPIs are met, and all assets are compliant, with any exceptions managed or escalated.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.
  • People Management: Provide leadership, guidance, advice, coaching, and direct support, where required, to deliver best-practice selection, training, and assessment by recognition and reward.
  • Finance and Commercial: Assist the account manager to develop a contract financial plan for revenue and profit delivery, reduction of WIP, debt, cost reduction, and contract growth, and ensure that these are met and exceeded.
  • Growth and Development: Actively manage asset condition and provide clients with the management information to drive their asset replacement programme and contract growth.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate strong communication skills, have the ability to lead, motivate, and direct your operational team.
Essential Requirements
  • Possess an understanding of Health and Safety issues, NEBOSH/IOSH, or equivalent training.
  • Completed recognised formal training to at least C&G level, preferably ONC/HNC or higher.
  • Experience of managing direct and subcontracted engineers.
  • Awareness of compliance requirements across all areas of service delivery.
  • Strong communication skills, with good levels of numeracy and literacy, conversant with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience in the FM business.
  • Approved Person in one or more disciplines.
  • Experience of delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Identification and delivery of contract growth.
