Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated senior clinical pharmacist to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health. As a key member of our community-based staff, you will be responsible for providing and developing a clinical pharmacy service for the Wigan and Leigh Specialist Community Mental Health Team (SCMHT), including an Outpatient Medication Review clinic.

Main Duties
  • Run pharmacy services to the Community Mental Health Teams, working under the supervision of senior pharmacists.
  • Provide a clinical pharmacy service, including running a medication review clinic and setting up innovative ways of working.
  • Support the multi-disciplinary team by attending care planning meetings and line management/supervision of pharmacists, technicians, and the wider team.
  • Collaborate with members of the leadership team, including a team leader and clinical lead, to ensure high-quality patient-focused pharmaceutical care.

Person Specification

We are looking for a pharmacist with:

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Postgraduate diploma or master's qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent knowledge through relevant experience.

Desirable criteria include:

  • Non-medical prescribing qualification and registration as a delegated prescribing practitioner.
