Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to plant downtime to minimize downtime and maximize plant throughput
  • Repair and replace damaged equipment to maintain plant efficiency
  • Utilize IT systems to record work completed and track plant performance
  • Interrogate, fault find, and resolve problems with plant equipment
  • Participate in summer and winter overhauls to ensure all plant equipment is maintained and repaired as required
  • Repair and overhaul of all plant and equipment as required
  • Completion of work permits and adherence to health and safety standards
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Fully qualified fitter with experience in a heavy mechanical facility
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and concern for standards with a keen results orientation
  • Flexible and willing to cover a 25/5 and/or 24/7 shift pattern
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with ability to work in teams and interact with production/maintenance colleagues and managers
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with ability to take and respond to direction as required
  • Self-motivated individual with strong customer focus and ability to work on own initiative
