Pensions Technical Manager - Insured Schemes

Oval Recruit is seeking an ambitious individual to provide expert technical assistance to the Head of Department, focusing on insured pension schemes. This role offers a unique opportunity to add value to the department, implement ideas, and shape the strategic outlook as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide complex advice to insured pension administration teams across the UK, helping to solve transitioning queries and implement changing legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop strong working relationships with departmental managers and provide expert pensions knowledge to a wide range of insured schemes.
  • Conduct training and develop training materials to assist colleagues with knowledge development.
  • Assist with the development of systems and participate in management meetings to discuss team knowledge, developments, innovations, efficiencies, projects, and new client onboarding.
  • Provide advice on scheme transitioning through buy-in, buy-out, and day-to-day bulk annuity administration.
  • Help interpret and implement changes to pensions legislation framework and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Must have worked in a similar environment delivering complex technical DB pension administration solutions and have a strong understanding of insured schemes.
  • Have experience of buy-in and buy-out project management.
  • Display excellent organisational, management, and communication skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of pensions legislation.
