Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Shop Manager in the overall management of the shop, including staff supervision, customer service, and stock control.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve sales, customer satisfaction, and team performance.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of retail assistants, providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Take ownership of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, ensuring that customers are looked after, deliveries are processed efficiently, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy environment.
- Monitor and control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste, and payroll, to ensure the shop is operating within budget.
- A friendly, positive, and hardworking approach to work, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience as a manager, team leader, or supervisor in a retail environment, with a proven track record of success.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of the business.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of retail assistants.
- A competitive salary of £28,897.68 per annum, plus benefits including 30 days' holiday, great training and development opportunities, and a smart uniform.
