About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to lead our Ultrasound Service as the Service Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management and future development of Ultrasound services within the Core Clinical Services Care Group.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the Ultrasound Service team and develop staff skills to deliver high-quality services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Liaise with other departments and external sources to provide a quality service to patients and clinicians.
  • Take responsibility for Governance issues within Ultrasound and report clinical and non-clinical incidents.
  • Work closely with the Departmental and Care Group Management team to develop an efficient and responsive service.

We provide a range of General Hospital services, including Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units, and Consultant-led services.

Person Specification
  • Current leadership and management experience in a clinical service.
  • Recent line management responsibility.
  • Degree in clinical specialty or equivalent experience.
  • Postgraduate management/leadership qualification or willingness to undertake a postgraduate certificate in management/leadership.
