About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join our team in Milton Keynes. As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a key role in the maintenance and execution of credit impairment models, as well as DoD engines. Your expertise will be instrumental in determining credit loss budgets and providing credit loss projections for internal and external stress testing exercises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of credit risk models to produce accurate model output
- Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of models to ensure they remain effective and compliant
- Collaborate with the team to implement changes to models and ensure a smooth transition
- Design and develop analytics dashboards to monitor key performance indicators and provide insights for decision-making
- Engage with other risk areas, such as forecasting, portfolio management, and collections, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of credit risk
- Support the tracking of DoD changes resulting from on-site inspections, internal and external audit feedback, and data migrations
- Prepare and present results to governance forums and committees
- Engage with external auditors to support the successful completion of half-year and year-end audits
- Support internal audit activities and close internal validation points
- Review and challenge the next generation credit risk provisioning models
- Keep process documentation up to date with model changes
Requirements:
- Strong experience with IFRS9 and credit risk models
- Proven skills in working with credit risk models, including validation, building, and developing
- Proficiency in SAS and advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of current local market dynamics, key players, and strategies
- Good understanding of forbearance activities and strategies
- Good understanding of risk management regulation and guidelines on loss reserve methodologies and relevant accounting standards
