Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in a vibrant secondary school in Waterlooville. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with complex needs, including social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with small groups of pupils under the guidance of a teacher to support their learning and development.
  • Support children's emotional wellbeing and communication skills, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Safeguarding will be your number one priority, ensuring the welfare of the pupils at all times.
  • Work with Key stage 3 and 4 aged pupils, providing individualized support to meet their unique needs.

Requirements:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
