Trust Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trust Finance Manager to join our team at Clear IT Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Trust's financial operations and ensuring the effective management of our finances.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of Trust finances.
  2. Provide expert advice and support to the Trust's finance team and other stakeholders as needed.
  3. Collaborate with the Trust's Business Leader to develop and implement financial systems and procedures.
  4. Manage the Teachers Pensions Audit process and liaise with external auditors and payroll providers.
  5. Undertake monthly payroll reconciliation and prepare and post monthly journals.
  6. Upload annual budgets for all schools to the finance system.
  7. Monitor and control performance to achieve Best Value.
  8. Provide monthly budget monitoring reports to the CEO and other stakeholders.
  9. Update in-year forecasts to provide effective information for management accounts.
  10. Undertake month-end reconciliations and other checks as prescribed by the Head of Finance.
  11. Work collaboratively with the central team and school finance teams to ensure effective support of member schools.
  12. Assist the CFO and Head of Finance to ensure an appropriate induction programme is in place for new staff in finance.

Requirements:

  1. Recognised Financial Qualification or relevant, equivalent experience.
  2. School finance or business management qualification/experience.
  3. Minimum 2 years in a senior financial role.
  4. Experience using a range of financial software.
  5. Eligibility for an enhanced DBS check.
