About the Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Strategic Engineering Lead (Nuclear Reactors) to join our Decommissioning Projects business. Due to the rapid growth of our business in the civil nuclear site decommissioning arena, we require more support to deliver and expand on our existing decommissioning expertise.

About the Role

You will be a senior engineer/consultant with a proven capability to lead and coordinate teams, or provide technical consultancy, to support complex decommissioning challenges. Primary expertise will be in the decommissioning of legacy nuclear facilities (ideally including reactor segmentation and support systems), with skills across wide-ranging strategy, planning, and implementation activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate teams to support complex decommissioning challenges
  • Provide technical consultancy to support decommissioning projects
  • Develop and implement decommissioning strategies and plans
  • Manage and coordinate project preparation and delivery
  • Conduct cost estimating, schedule preparation, and risk analysis
Requirements
  • Nuclear decommissioning specific experience, particularly civil nuclear reactor sites
  • Good knowledge of best practice and LFE for civil nuclear reactor decommissioning
  • Innovative thinker with knowledge of a range of approaches from across different industries
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to drive efficiencies in the decommissioning process
  • Member of a professional institute and chartership preferred
