Senior Financial Controller

MacGregor Black is pleased to collaborate with a growing privately-owned enterprise in their quest for a Senior Financial Controller. This role is a full-time position, requiring presence in a central office.

The ideal candidate will be an accomplished finance professional responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of properties globally. The successful applicant will oversee all financial operations related to international assets, ensuring precise reporting, adherence to regulations, and optimal financial outcomes. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a meticulous individual with a strong interest in real estate finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial management of a worldwide property portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with global accounting standards.
  • Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for each asset.
  • Collaborate with property managers and local financial teams to guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews and implement controls to protect assets and enhance financial performance.
  • Support the formulation and execution of financial strategies aimed at improving the profitability of the property portfolio.
  • Engage with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and industry developments to ensure adherence to best practices.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in finance, ideally within the real estate or property management sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of international accounting principles and regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to oversee international assets as required.
