Join Our Team as a Commercial Underwriter

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Commercial Underwriter to join our team in the London office. As a key member of our business team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and brokers, providing excellent service and retention, and acting as a referral point for junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients and brokers, providing exceptional service and retention.
  • Act as a referral point for junior members of the team, providing guidance and support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and underwriting evaluations to ensure accurate and timely decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in underwriting property or commercial business.
  • Strong knowledge of property and commercial products.
  • Experience in managing broker relationships and developing business opportunities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary: £35,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience).
