Job Title: Workshop Controller
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join our team at Listers in Leamington Spa. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum productivity in the workshop, liaising between Service Advisors and Technicians, and ensuring that all required work is actioned effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet customers, providing a seamless service from drop off to vehicle handover.
- Update customers on the progress of their vehicle.
- Liaise with the Workshop, Parts, and Sales departments to ensure customer vehicles are ready on time.
- Manage the workflow of all jobs to brand standard.
- Manage a team of Technicians, ensuring workflow through the workshop is done in an efficient and effective manner.
- Provide focused management to the service department team, ensuring an excellent customer experience.
- Ensure processes are always adhered to.
- Conduct regular process reviews with the Aftersales Manager to identify operational issues/discrepancies and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken to rectify.
- Manage the performance of the workshop to ensure KPI targets are achieved.
- Manage and plan workshop/support resources to ensure work requirements are fulfilled.
- Support the department team as required and ensure all work is completed on time.
- Support the service department with specifications and coding of non-standard, complex jobs and ensure all such work is approved with customers prior to any work being started.
- Manage the handover of complex or potentially contentious jobs (invoices, claims) to ensure full buy-in and agreement from the customer.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a dealership as a Trainee Workshop Controller, Experienced Workshop Foreman, or Experienced Workshop Controller.
- Unlimited confidence, resilience, drive, energy, and talent.
