About the Role: Analyst - Insurance Investment Strategy Group
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our dynamic Insurance Investment Strategy Group. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your investment knowledge with a specific focus on the insurance industry.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the wider insurance team and act as the insurance strategy specialist for clients and prospects.
- Ensure excellent client service through accurate and timely reporting, record keeping, and market intelligence, serving as the primary contact for technical queries.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of client needs, requirements, and the insurance regulatory environment.
- Develop strategic asset allocations for insurance clients, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of asset allocation strategies.
- Provide preliminary recommendations to consultants on suitable investment strategies and structures for insurers, collaborating with specialist teams as needed.
- Prepare for and attend client meetings, presenting technical analysis, key issues, and conclusions.
- Maintain and review the technical accuracy and reasonableness of your work and that of others.
- Contribute to team development and commercial strategy.
What You Need:
- Previous experience in the investment industry with a strong motivation to learn and succeed in a strategy-oriented role.
- High proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications, with modelling experience being an advantage.
- Strong numerical reasoning and analytical skills, with the ability to approach tasks in a logical manner.
- Familiarity with the institutional investment landscape and strategy setting process.
- A strong interest in the economic, investment, and regulatory factors that influence insurers' decision-making.
- Natural attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are also important.
