Financial Accountant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a 15-month fixed term contract. In this role, you will support the Financial Controller in all aspects of group and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and SOX controls.
Key Responsibilities:- Group & Statutory Reporting: Assist with the preparation of monthly financial and management reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
- Cash Forecasting: Prepare weekly cash forecasts, working closely with the Shared Services Centre (SSC) to ensure accurate and reliable projections.
- Forecasts & Budgets: Assist in the preparation of company forecasts and budgets, contributing to the financial planning and analysis process.
- Audit Support: Provide assistance to internal and external auditors by gathering relevant information and answering queries.
- Statutory Accounts: Prepare statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP/FRS102, ensuring financial statements are accurate and compliant.
- SOX Compliance: Ensure SOX controls are adhered to and maintain sufficient documentation to support compliance efforts.
- Qualifications: You are a qualified accountant with post-qualification experience, possessing a strong knowledge of US GAAP and FRS102.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage and analyze large data sets efficiently.
- Project Accounting: Previous experience with percentage of completion and project accounting is an advantage, as well as VAT compliance for both UK and overseas operations.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with different departments and stakeholders, facilitating smooth financial processes across the organization.
- Problem-Solving & Judgement: You have a keen ability to exercise professional judgement and make sound financial decisions, particularly in high-pressure situations.

This is a 15-month fixed term contract working 37 hours per week. We offer hybrid working for this role which will allow you to enjoy the balance of home working and collaboration time with the team in our modern offices which include free onsite parking.
