1:1 Teaching Assistant Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team in Southampton. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in supporting students in achieving their academic goals.

About the Role:

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with educators to develop and implement tailored educational strategies, providing personalised support to students in diverse subjects. Your commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting academic growth will contribute to the well-rounded education of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in defining and reaching their academic objectives.
  • Collaborate with educators to devise and execute customised educational strategies.
  • Aid students in managing day-to-day responsibilities and tasks.
  • Offer emotional reinforcement and motivation.
  • Track student advancement and communicate updates to instructors.
  • Deliver support within standard classroom environments.
  • Collaborate with teachers on lesson structuring and readiness.
  • Guide students through classroom and homework assignments.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a relevant qualification in teaching or education.
  • Previous experience working within a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
