As a key member of our precision machining team, you will be responsible for setting and operating fixed head machines, interpreting drawings and 3D digital files, and producing high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting and operating fixed head machines to produce precision components
  • Interpreting drawings and 3D digital files to ensure accurate production
  • Producing prototypes and small production runs to meet customer requirements
  • Carrying out inspection of work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
  • Maintaining clean and tidy stations to ensure a safe working environment
  • Producing work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards and specifications
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with colleagues to promote successful teamwork

Requirements:

  • Apprentice-trained or equivalent experience in a precision machining company
  • Strong understanding of Fanuc programs with ability to edit, re-run tools, and move offsets
  • Able to prove unproven programs safely and competently
  • Conversant with Lynx and Doosan machinery, including multi-axis and sub-spindle capabilities
  • Experience working with a wide range of materials, including Inconel, titanium, mild steels, brass, aluminium-bronze, bronzes, aluminium, plastics, and super duplex
  • Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
  • Team player with a flexible attitude
