Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the HR Operations team: Provide strategic direction and guidance to the team to ensure the delivery of operational HR support.
  2. Deliver operational HR support: Provide expert advice and guidance to the leadership teams on HR-related matters.
  3. Provide strategic HR operational advice: Offer guidance and support on organizational change, including service re-design, restructuring, and senior recruitment.
  4. Develop service workforce plans: Lead on the development of service workforce plans and the delivery of operational action plans.
  5. Manage budgets: Manage the deployment of budgets for HR Operations to ensure that opportunities for further funding are maximized.

Requirements:

  1. Educated to degree level: A degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
  2. MCID Qualified: Possession of a MCID qualification.
  3. Significant post-qualification experience: Significant post-qualification experience of working in human resources, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of HR policies, trade union relations, and applying employment law.
  4. Senior HR experience: Significant experience of working as a senior HR professional, including working at a strategic and corporate level with directors, senior staff, members, external agencies, etc.
  5. Team management experience: Significant experience of managing a team of specialist professional staff.
  6. HR knowledge and experience: Extensive HR knowledge and experience, including business partnering, complex employee relations issues.
  7. Negotiating and influencing skills: Demonstrable ability to think innovatively and provide practical solutions to meet complex HR needs and priorities.
  8. Training and development experience: Experience of delivering training and development concepts and principles.
  9. Contract and financial management experience: Experience in contracts, tenders, and financial regulations and budget management.
