Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plastics Coordinator to join our team at Great Western Hospital, Swindon. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective and timely delivery of patient care in accordance with national guidance.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support services to Consultants and clinical staff in the Plastics department. This will include:

  • Coordinating clinical pathways and ensuring seamless communication between teams
  • Providing accurate and timely data extraction and validation
  • Facilitating effective communication with patients, families, GPs, and Cancer Services
  • Supporting the smooth running of the department and service

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Essential qualifications: A-Level/diploma level or equivalent, IM&T qualifications, and Continual Professional Development
  • Desirable qualifications: Keyboard skills, database management, and oncology knowledge
  • Essential experience: Teamwork, coordination, data validation, and MS Office applications
  • Desirable experience: NHS experience, MDT Coordinator role, and patient clinical notes
