Position Overview

We are seeking an Inventory Management Supervisor to join our Global Operations team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the continuous enhancement, functionality, and leadership of the Warehouse and Logistics Team. The successful candidate will facilitate the training and development of personnel in accordance with organizational needs, ensuring that the team possesses the necessary tools and expertise for their roles.

The Inventory Management Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Inventory Control and Logistics Manager to achieve corporate objectives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the department's operational requirements for receiving goods, shipping, and assembly are fulfilled by aligning the necessary resources to the designated areas, adapting to the fluid nature of the work.
  • Act as a direct contributor within the team to guarantee that the department meets its daily, weekly, and monthly loading targets.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy workplace by establishing, adhering to, and enforcing compliance with all health and safety protocols for direct reports. Ensure that training and risk assessments are current, along with timely reporting of any incidents.
  • Supervise the Warehouse and Logistics team on a daily basis. Inspire, motivate, and develop staff to maximize their individual contributions, professional growth, and collaborative effectiveness, fostering a high-performance culture through goal setting.
  • Assist in managing the Warehouse and Logistics Team in areas such as recruitment, attendance management, performance evaluations, and other relevant activities.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team, leading and supporting initiatives. Strive to implement best practices across all Warehouse and Logistics processes.
  • Establish and nurture strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Production, Supply Chain, Customer Services, and Quality Assurance.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum HND or equivalent experience in Warehousing or Manufacturing.
  • Experience in people management or supervisory roles within a medium to low warehousing and manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in the medical devices sector is preferred, with an understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO standards.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
  • Analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Valid certifications for Reach truck and Aisle Master, along with a clean driving record are preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally Dynamics GP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Practical experience with Lean Tools and Methodologies.
