We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Adult Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at West Heath House in Birmingham.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work as an autonomous speech and language therapist, providing strategic professional leadership to the rehabilitation team. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Assessing communication needs and developing management plans for individuals with acquired brain injuries.
  2. Providing training to staff and service users' social networks on communication strategies and techniques.
  3. Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement rehabilitation plans.
  4. Working with individuals and their social networks to overcome barriers and achieve goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI, including social communication, cognitive communication, and communication partner training.
  • Experience in managing complex dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload.
