Job Description

**Job Title:** Advertising Account Director

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advertising Account Director to join our team at Workshop Recruitment. As an Advertising Account Director, you will be responsible for managing your own diary, organizing and booking appointments to visit the premises of our existing or potential new trade partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Negotiating Trade Discounts: You will be responsible for negotiating trade discounts with our trade partners to ensure we are offering competitive pricing.
  2. Supporting Showroom Design and Sales Samples: You will work closely with our trade partners to support the design and sales of our products in their showrooms.
  3. Educating Trade Partner Employees: You will educate trade partner employees on the use and functionality of their unique online ordering portal.
  4. Training Salespeople: You will train salespeople on how best to demonstrate and articulate key USPs to the end consumer.
  5. Being the Product Expert: You will be the product expert and provide guidance and support to our trade partners and sales team.
  6. Assisting Trade Customers: You will assist trade customers to grow their business, which in turn will grow your sales.

**Additional Responsibilities:** From time to time, you will be showcasing products through UK trade shows and exhibitions. As part of the sales team, you would be expected to attend and support these events to build relationships with potential new trade customers in your area. You will also attend global trade shows in Asia and Europe, and with factories in Australia and China, as well as offices in Europe, you may receive the opportunity for international travel on occasion.

Requirements:
  1. Experience in Home Furnishings: You will have experience in home furnishings such as blinds, curtains, shutters, window coverings - desirable or transferable skills into this industry.
  2. Excellent Product Training: You will have excellent product training and induction made available, so the ability to absorb and retain product information is important.
  3. Highly Motivated: You will be highly motivated and able to multi-task - handle quotes, train customers, support projects, attend meetings, etc.
  4. Happy Handling Inbound Calls: You will be happy handling inbound calls as well as making outbound calls to prospects.
  5. Consultative Selling Experience: You will have consultative selling experience, B2B or B2C.
  6. Excellent Rapport Building Skills: You will have excellent rapport building skills.
  7. Well Organized: You will be well organized.
  8. Confident: You will be confident.
  9. Good Presentation Skills: You will have good presentation skills.
  10. Excellent Communication: You will have excellent communication both written and verbal.
  11. Integrity: You will have integrity.

**Salary and Benefits:** £40-45K plus bonus, Company Car, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Mobile Phone, Laptop, Expenses, Reward and Recognition programs, Pension. Due to the nature of the role, regular car travel will be expected; this can include overnight stays away from home.
