Overview

- Working Hours: 8.00am - 6.00pm on weekdays. Options for full or part-season roles available.
Position Summary
The Camp Manager plays a crucial role in the effective execution of our diverse holiday childcare programs, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in attendance. We seek passionate and skilled individuals dedicated to our mission of 'Inspiring Children Every Day'.
Your responsibilities will include leading, motivating, and supporting your team to create engaging and enjoyable holiday camps that encourage participation, structure, care, and development. You will oversee the implementation of all policies and procedures, maintaining communication with parents, school representatives, and Head Office. In addition to leading activities, staff will contribute to the high standards of physical, emotional, and social care provided by Ultimate Activity Camps.
The Camp Manager role is dynamic and rewarding, with the experience of both parents and children depending on your leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervise a selected team of staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and activities expected at Ultimate Activity Camps.
- Motivate your team to provide exceptional activities by demonstrating energy and enthusiasm.
- Ensure compliance with all camp policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations and safeguarding protocols. This may involve introducing new procedures to maintain a safe environment for staff and children.
- Conduct Camp Induction Day for your staff prior to the camp's commencement.
- Collaborate with the Early Years Leader to ensure adherence to Ofsted requirements, engaging directly with inspectors during evaluations.
- Communicate with Head Office regarding updates, inquiries, and any issues that arise during the day.
- Serve as the primary contact for parents at camp, addressing concerns in person and via phone.
- Coordinate with the Host School representatives to ensure seamless camp operations.
- Manage all administrative tasks on site, including attendance procedures, registration, staff schedules, and adjustments to the timetable.
- Work alongside teams from other specialized programs to ensure smooth operations at your site.
- Address any challenges that arise in the dynamic environment of a holiday camp.
- Continuously advocate for the welfare of the children in your care, ensuring high-quality childcare that meets the diverse needs of children from various backgrounds and developmental stages.

- Exhibit high levels of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism, serving as a positive role model for both children and staff.
Essential Qualifications
- Qualified or pursuing a qualification in childcare, education, or coaching, with substantial experience working with children.
- A natural leader with management experience, preferably in holiday camps, childcare, education, or coaching.
- Excellent communication skills, with strong customer service abilities. Candidates should be confident in engaging with parents and school staff.
- Solid understanding of camp activities, with a willingness to temporarily cover groups as needed.
- Strong decision-making skills, capable of quickly assessing situations and making informed choices.
- Proactive and diligent, able to adapt to changing circumstances as required.
- Individuals seeking a challenging yet rewarding and enjoyable role during the holidays, with aspirations to advance in the childcare, education, or coaching fields.
Desirable Qualifications
- Possession of a Paediatric First Aid qualification (12-hour or 6-hour).
