About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Wholesale Credit Risk Specialist to join our team at the Illinois CPA Society. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective identification, measurement, monitoring, and control of wholesale credit risks within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance: Provide effective and credible challenge during quality assurance reviews to ensure that weaknesses in processes are identified and escalated as appropriate.
  • Process Adherence: Support the implementation and ongoing delivery of a robust quality assurance function in accordance with the coverage universe.
  • Risk Management: Assist in the preparation of quality assurance reports to management that communicate and measure results, identify negative trends, and provide potential solutions.
  • Collaboration: Constantly interact with underwriting and 1LOD functions to ensure that quality assurance protocols are adequate for all portfolios.
  • Policies and Procedures: Support the establishment of wholesale credit risk in-business quality assurance policies, procedures, risk assessment, and controls to drive effective QA coverage and standards.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Stay abreast of relevant changes to rules and regulations and other industry news, including regulatory findings.
Requirements
  • Experience: Demonstrable strong assurance experience, including relevant years in corporate banking, credit risk management, internal audit, loan review, or quality assurance review function at an investment or large commercial bank.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of wholesale credit processes and organizational awareness, portfolios, and processes.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority.
  • Education: BA/BSc or higher degree in Business (MBA), or any other related subject.
