Purchasing Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team at Marshall Harmony. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing function, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms to ensure best value
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing waste
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including spend analysis and supplier performance

Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally in the metals industry
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • CIPS qualifications or equivalent experience
