About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join our Birmingham Industry & Buildings team at Royal HaskoningDHV. As a key member of our skilled Building Services team, you will play a vital role in delivering a range of projects from industrial and commercial clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver mechanical building services work packages in multiple concurrent projects, either in the UK or internationally.
  • Provide technical leadership on projects, ensuring the delivery of quality, robust, and timely results.
  • Lead the development of our growing team, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Promote and deliver the use of sustainable and low-carbon technologies, driving business growth and reducing environmental impact.
  • Lead energy in-use compliance and thermal analysis, ensuring compliance with local mandatory standards.
  • Promote the implementation of digital, automation, and parametric methods of design on projects, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
Key Skills and Experience
  • A BEng (Hons) or MEng in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least years relevant working experience in mechanical design, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Achieved Chartered or Incorporated Status, demonstrating expertise and professionalism.
  • Good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction of relevant sectors.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in specialist mechanical building services design and modeling software, including Autodesk Revit, MagiCAD/StabiCAD, IES Virtual Environment, and NBS Create.
