Job Overview
Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking an IT Security Engineer to develop and manage the cybersecurity strategy for a leading manufacturing company based in Camberley, Surrey. The successful candidate will join a small team working alongside Software Developers, an IT Support Engineer, and an IT Systems Administrator.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the security infrastructure and serve as the main liaison with the external SOC
* Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect the company's assets
* Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the security of all systems and networks
* Provide technical guidance and support to the team on security-related matters
Requirements
* Commercial experience in IT/information technology and infrastructure
* Exposure to both Windows and Linux environments
* Networking and security knowledge across firewalls, VPNs, Microsoft Suite (e.g., SQL)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Work Environment
The company operates on a hybrid model, with 2 days a week spent in the office. This role would suit someone who has worked in IT/infrastructure support and transitioned towards more of an IT security-focused role.
