Cure Talent Limited is proud to partner with a rapidly expanding Medical Device Design House based in the UK. This pioneering company specializes in the design and development of a wide array of Medical Devices, collaborating with healthcare providers to create revolutionary solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Design Engineer to drive forward ongoing projects, taking the lead on devising technical solutions to complex challenges.

The ideal Senior Product Design Engineer will have a strong background in Medical Device Design with experience of leading projects from start to finish. Preferably, they will have specific experience with Plastic Injection Moulded Devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading projects in the development of products, mechanisms, and sub-assemblies.
  • Performing tolerance analysis to ensure high-quality, robust design of complex mechanical systems and components using tools such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and computer simulation.
  • End-to-end project management of multiple projects from concept through to manufacture.
  • Rapid prototyping, functional lab testing, and analysis of test data.
  • Collaborating with external manufacturing partners and other suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience covering the product design lifecycle and a degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge and experience of Design Control, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design Transfer, Verification & Validation, Risk Management, Usability, and Human Factors.
  • Experience and knowledge of the requirements of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and IEC standards.
  • Proven experience in developing plastic injection moulded components.
  • Proficiency in 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, preferably Inventor, CREO, or SolidWorks.
