Primaire Consulting Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team in the North East region. As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in the Control & Automation Components industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, identify new business opportunities, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with our comprehensive range of Control & Automation Components and be able to effectively communicate their benefits to customers.
- Sales Strategy: Plan and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets, including developing and implementing sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, and negotiating sales agreements.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sales interactions, customer interactions, and sales pipeline.
- Cold Calling: Conduct regular cold calls to non-buying, turned down, and new customers to arrange initial meetings and explore potential business opportunities.
- Account Management: Take ownership of assigned accounts, monitor quotes, orders, and delivery issues, and visit customers regularly to stay informed about their business.
Requirements:
- Education: HNC/HND or higher in electrical or control engineering (desirable)
- Pressure Management: Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Personality: Friendly, approachable, and enjoys speaking to people on the phone.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills and the ability to regulate time under stressful conditions.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in IT, especially with Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
