Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer Opportunity

CV Library is working with a leading electrical test and inspection company to recruit an experienced Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing plans and schematics, conducting full inspections and testing procedures to comply with BS7671, and managing apprentice or other electricians on site.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Review and interpret plans and schematics to ensure compliance with electrical regulations
  2. Conduct thorough inspections and testing procedures to identify defects and ensure safety
  3. Manage and supervise apprentice or other electricians on site to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks
  4. Produce commercial EICRs and defect lists using Shineforms and Microsoft Excel
  5. Generate materials lists and ensure accurate documentation
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical regulations and compliance, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively liaise with clients and represent the company in a professional manner.

Qualifications and Experience
  1. 18th Edition qualification
  2. CSCS or ECS Card
  3. 2391 or 2394/2395 qualification
  4. Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial EICRs
  5. Structured electrical training including City and Guilds or BTEC electrical qualification Level 3

The role comes with a company phone, van, fuel card, pension, holidays, and more. The base salary is £42,000 - £45,000 per year, with overtime potential to reach £60,000. We would also consider subcontractors on a full-time basis - rates to be discussed.
