About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled clinician to join our team as a Senior Clinical Lead in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are dedicated to providing high-quality care to children and young people with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of interventions within the Thrive Model, aligned with SET CAMHS and NICE guidance.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Lead and Team Manager to support the delivery of psychological support across the service.
  • Assess, treat, and measure outcomes for children and young people, providing clinical supervision to staff and contributing to their development.
  • Collaborate with education, social care, and family/carers to provide comprehensive care.
  • Bring highly developed knowledge of specialist therapeutic assessment, formulation, and intervention skills, as well as specific expertise in psychological interventions.
Requirements
  • Post-graduate training in psychological practice (psychologist, or family therapist).
  • Eligibility for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, ACP, AFT, NMC).
  • Extensive experience of working with complex mental health presentations in children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions.
  • Extensive experience of working therapeutically with parents/carers/families of children and young people in crisis with complex mental health problems.
  • High levels of knowledge in theory and practice of short and long-term interventions in CAMHS.
  • Extensive knowledge of risk management for complex and unusual or unexpected presentations.
