Position: Technical Advisor - Offshore Structural

As a Technical Advisor - Offshore Structural, you will play a crucial role in supporting the lead in preparing engineering deliverables within the assigned scope:

  1. Design basis, material, and construction specifications.
  2. Independently perform engineering analyses for:
    1. Operational (in-service) phase (in-place, fatigue, seismic)
    2. Non-operational phase (loadout, transportation, launch, upending, and setdown)
    3. Accidental phase (boat impact, ALE earthquake, pushover)
  3. Perform detailed design of jacket appurtenances.
  4. Review analyses/calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance, and proactively resolve any discrepancies.

The work will involve collaborating with other disciplines, clients, and 3rd party contractors, and coordinating with project team members across global offices to deliver tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.

Requirements
  • Degree in Structural Engineering Design
  • Minimum experience of 15 years with excellent technical and practical engineering skills, able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.
  • Proficiency with SESAM/SACS software is required.
  • Proficiency to perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902, and applicable DNV & NORSOK codes is essential.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively while managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to work in an office-based role.
