We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist occupational therapy services to children and young people affected by foetal exposure syndromes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of occupational therapists to deliver high-quality services to clients with complex needs.
- Develop and implement occupational therapy programs to support clients in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients and their families.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address the occupational needs of clients.
- Provide education and training to staff and clients on occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to occupational therapy services.
- Graduate Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Extensive post-graduate work experience in acute or community paediatrics.
- Advanced paediatric course or equivalent.
- Significant experience at senior level in paediatrics.
- Active participation in research, audit, or quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence change in practice and disseminate information to staff and clients.
- Excellent clinical knowledge of acute and/or long-term paediatric occupational therapy.
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Clinical Educators course or equivalent.
- Experience at clinical team leader level.
- Active membership of relevant specialist interest groups.
- Experience of delivering a paediatric occupational therapy service.
- Experience of cross-boundary working.
