Job Title: SEND Tutor

Location: East Durham

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEND Tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a SEND Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering 1:1 tuition to a young person with complex special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil in East Durham who is seeking education other than at school.
  • Deliver tuition in Maths and English, adapting to the individual's needs and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the pupil, their family, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support plan.
  • Monitor and evaluate the pupil's progress, making adjustments to the tuition plan as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong knowledge of Maths and English curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
